Aquesta convicci\u00f3 \u00e9s la que mou els artistes a exposar-se, a assumir riscos, a enfrontar-se a la possibilitat del frac\u00e0s i tamb\u00e9 a acceptar l&#8217;eventualitat del rid\u00edcul.<\/p>\n<p>Aquesta idea es fa molt palesa veient aquests dies el magn\u00edfic v\u00eddeo &#8220;Untitled (Original orchestrated ersatz light version)&#8221; (2011) realitzat per l&#8217;artista portugu\u00e8s Jo\u00e3o Onofre per a l&#8217;Espai 13 de la Fundaci\u00f3 Mir\u00f3 de Barcelona. Onofre reuneix una orquestra simf\u00f2nica i s&#8217;atreveix a agafar el micr\u00f2fon per cantar una can\u00e7\u00f3 de la popular cantant portuguesa Adelaide Ferreira. Ho fa amb m\u00e9s valentia que qualitats musicals fins que apareix ella, la pr\u00f2pia Ferreira, malbaratant talent i saber estar a l&#8217;escenari, mentre Onofre va quedant silenciat i en un segon pla.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Land tamb\u00e9 es filmava en processos obsessivament repetitius i condemnats al frac\u00e0s: vestit com un showman de televisi\u00f3 passat de moda que in\u00fatilment intenta seure en un tamboret mentre cau una vegada i una altra (&#8220;Pink Space&#8221;, 1995); intentant pintar el sostre d&#8217;una habitaci\u00f3 enfilat a una escala de m\u00e0, sense poder evitar caure una vegada i una altra (&#8220;Step Ladder Blues,&#8221; 1995); precipitant-se per una escala sense fi (The Staircase, 1998) o enfonsant-se amb la seva barca en un llac (&#8220;The Lake&#8221;, 1999). Tal com el mateix artista va declarar en una ocasi\u00f3: \u201cSuposo que a la meva obra, a trav\u00e9s de l&#8217;enregistrament d&#8217;actes i la seva repetici\u00f3, intento reflectir algunes de les condicions b\u00e0siques de la meva pr\u00f2pia exist\u00e8ncia i potser conferir una mena de sentit aparent al que no t\u00e9 sentit. (&#8230;) Bona part de la meva obra se centra en la desil\u00b7lusi\u00f3; la impressi\u00f3 que el sentit se t&#8217;escapa quan m\u00e9s ho necessites; quan creus que has ent\u00e8s el m\u00f3n tal com \u00e9s i que has situat les coses en la perspectiva correcta, de sobte passa una cosa que arru\u00efna aquesta sensaci\u00f3. El teu m\u00f3n s&#8217;ensorra i has de tornar a comen\u00e7ar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A la seva feina &#8220;Commission&#8221; (2011), l&#8217;holand\u00e8s Erik van Lieshout tamb\u00e9 s&#8217;exposa i tampoc queda molt ben parat. El seu &#8220;exposar-se&#8221; es tradueix a realitzar un projecte art\u00edstic en un centre comercial for\u00e7a degradat del sud de Rotterdam. L&#8217;artista se submergeix al m\u00f3n real i sense la protecci\u00f3 que ofereix el marc de l&#8217;art ha d&#8217;enfrontar-se a la curiositat, la incomprensi\u00f3, la frustraci\u00f3 i la ridiculitzaci\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;artista s&#8217;exposa personalment com a objecte d&#8217;estudi, amb el cos, el jo, els temors i els dubtes. En situar-se personalment en situacions que evidencien difer\u00e8ncies respecte de les normes de la societat, revisa la percepci\u00f3 de si mateix o el sentit social de la seva ocupaci\u00f3. Bruce Nauman ho va dir fa temps: \u201cEs diu que l&#8217;art \u00e9s una q\u00fcesti\u00f3 de vida i de mort.
