Sobre &#8220;The Dream and the Promise&#8221; d&#8217;Aleksandra Mir a la Galer\u00eda Joan Prats"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/a-desk.org\/ca\/magazine\/angeles-virgenes-y-cohetes\/\">Link a l&#8217;art\u00edculo en A*DESK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>En la seva segona exposici\u00f3 individual a Barcelona, Aleksandra Mir repr\u00e8n un tema que li interessa, la lluna i l&#8217;espai, aquesta vegada en combinaci\u00f3 amb \u00e0ngels, sants, verges i poca cosa m\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>La lluna, els coets, l&#8217;aviaci\u00f3, els peri\u00f2dics i la comunicaci\u00f3 global han estat temes recurrents en el treball de Aleksandra Mir. La dial\u00e8ctica entre les esferes p\u00fablica i privada i els \u00e0mbits local i global s\u00f3n els eixos principals que articulen el seu discurs. Hereva de la tradici\u00f3 conceptual dels 60, i molt especialment dels aspectes m\u00e9s performatius, els millors treballs de Mir s\u00f3n precisament aquells que compten amb la ironia com a estrat\u00e8gia que li permet assenyalar, des de la intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia i la dist\u00e0ncia, aquells aspectes sobre els quals vol incidir.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Dream and the Promise&#8221; \u00e9s la segona mostra individual de l&#8217;artista a Barcelona. Fa quatre anys, la seva exposici\u00f3 &#8220;Aeroport&#8221; ens endinsava en l&#8217;univers de l&#8217;aviaci\u00f3, des de la petita escala i el treball manual que es tradu\u00efa en el dibuix minuci\u00f3s de logos, marques i models d&#8217;avions de totes les companyies del globus. En la seva exposici\u00f3 actual, Mir segueix en els n\u00favols, aquesta vegada amb una s\u00e8rie d&#8217;obres que responen a una pregunta que es fa l&#8217;artista: &#8220;Si els astronautes i els \u00e0ngels comparteixen el cel, no \u00e9s hora que es coneguin?&#8221;. I l&#8217;exposici\u00f3 \u00e9s literalment aix\u00f2, la trobada, mitjan\u00e7ant el collage, d&#8217;imatges d&#8217;\u00e0ngels, sants i verges, al costat de coets, naus i altres artefactes espacials.<\/p>\n<p>No \u00e9s la primera vegada que Aleksandra Mir visita la lluna. El seu v\u00eddeo &#8220;First Woman on the Moon&#8221; (1999) (que pot veure&#8217;s en la seva p\u00e0gina Web: www.aleksandramir.info) combinava la grandiloq\u00fc\u00e8ncia dels discursos sobre el gran pas per a la humanitat que va representar l&#8217;arribada de l&#8217;home a la lluna, amb unes imatges filmades en un platja holandesa, en la qual unes excavadores creaven un paisatge lunar poblat per nens, operaris, curiosos i, \u00e9s clar, la primera dona en la lluna. D&#8217;aquesta manera, amb humor i intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia, Mir apuntava des d&#8217;un feminisme tan cr\u00edtic com divertit a l&#8217;ambici\u00f3 per la carrera espacial i la fascinaci\u00f3 per la tecnologia.<\/p>\n<p>Uns anys m\u00e9s tard, en 2005, &#8220;Gravity&#8221; i &#8220;Garden of Rockets&#8221; incidien en l&#8217;absurd d&#8217;aquesta ambici\u00f3, construint coets a partir de piles d&#8217;elements quotidians entre els quals no faltaven Ajax, Pringles o Hellmans, per citar nom\u00e9s alguns.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9s probable que la s\u00e8rie de collages &#8220;The Dream and the Promise&#8221; faci refer\u00e8ncia a una reflexi\u00f3 molt m\u00e9s complexa sobre les similituds entre religi\u00f3 i tecnologia, els seus codis i estrat\u00e8gies i el grau de fe i d&#8217;ocultisme que tots dos \u00e0mbits comparteixen. Desafortunadament existeix un desequilibri entre aquesta reflexi\u00f3 i la seva formalitzaci\u00f3.
