Guantanamo Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alicia Framis presa els conflictes o contradiccions que veu al seu voltant com a punt de partida de les noves idees, models o prototips que componen les seves s\u00e8ries. La viol\u00e8ncia, la seguretat, la conviv\u00e8ncia, la comunicaci\u00f3 i la solitud s\u00f3n alguns dels temes clau que han articulat la seva obra. Framis s&#8217;involucra en q\u00fcestions i projectes espec\u00edfics durant un per\u00edode de temps determinat \u2014que pot anar des d&#8217;uns dies fins a uns anys\u2014 durant el qual els seus aut\u00e8ntics \u201cworks in progress\u201d es defineixen, es transformen i evolucionen, sovint en relaci\u00f3 amb els llocs on es presenten.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;artista va definir alguna vegada l&#8217;objectiu del seu treball com essencialment \u201ccrear un bon concepte per a la vida\u201d: un posicionament tan directe com complex, i que en \u00faltima inst\u00e0ncia \u00e9s simplement una afirmaci\u00f3 de la necessitat de l&#8217;art com a catalitzador d&#8217;altres maneres de mirar, veure i q\u00fcestionar les coses. Aquestes premisses s\u00f3n presents en tots els projectes de Framis fins a la data, alguns dels quals tal vegada \u00e9s pertinent recordar aqu\u00ed, a mode d&#8217;introducci\u00f3 a Guant\u00e1namo Museum, el seu treball m\u00e9s recent. En Dreamkeeper (1997), per exemple, va publicar un anunci en els peri\u00f2dics en el qual s&#8217;oferia a vetllar pels somnis de les persones solit\u00e0ries; en Remix Buildings (1999-2000) va proposar un nou enfocament de l&#8217;arquitectura, combinant funcions improbables \u2014un cinema i un hospital, un metre i un cementiri, una autopista i un monument commemoratiu, etc.\u2014 per a demostrar fins a quin punt la nostra societat s&#8217;esfor\u00e7a per fer invisibles tots aquells aspectes de l&#8217;exist\u00e8ncia relacionats amb la malaltia, la vellesa, el sofriment i la mort. Anti-Dog (2002-2003), una reflexi\u00f3 sobre la viol\u00e8ncia contra les dones, consistia en una col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 de vestits confeccionats amb teixits especials: a prova de bales, ign\u00edfugs i resistents als atacs dels gossos. Secret Strike (2003-\u2026) \u00e9s una s\u00e8rie de performances col\u00b7lectives realitzades amb el suport de diverses institucions \u2014Tate Modern a Londres, Inditex a Santiago de Compostel\u00b7la, Rabobank a Utrecht\u2026\u2014 en les quals els treballadors interrompen per uns instants el que estiguin fent i paralitzen per complet l&#8217;activitat d&#8217;aquestes grans empreses.<\/p>\n<p>La col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 \u00e9s, doncs, un altre aspecte clau del treball de Framis. No sols per part dels arquitectes, dissenyadors, m\u00fasics o escriptors als quals sol rec\u00f3rrer com a companys de viatge, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 de les persones a les quals implica directament en els seus projectes i de l&#8217;espectador, que no pot evitar implicar-se en les seves obres.<\/p>\n<p>Guant\u00e1namo Museum \u00e9s el nou projecte d&#8217;Alicia Framis i el Centri d\u2019Art Santa M\u00f2nica \u00e9s la segona parada d&#8217;un recorregut que s&#8217;albira llarg i esperat i que va comen\u00e7ar en la Galeria Helga d&#8217;Alvear de Madrid amb un \u2018sketchbook\u2019 en el qual l&#8217;artista va exposar les seves preocupacions entorn d&#8217;un tema de gran actualitat: la pres\u00f3 de Guant\u00e1namo. Des de 2002, l&#8217;ex\u00e8rcit estatunidenc utilitza la seva base de la badia de Guant\u00e1namo (Cuba) com a centre de detenci\u00f3 de m\u00e0xima seguretat. Els presos de Guant\u00e1namo, capturats i empresonats sense judici previ, s\u00f3n classificats com a \u2018combatents enemics\u2019 i sospitosos d&#8217;activitats terroristes, privats dels drets m\u00e9s b\u00e0sics i torturats sistem\u00e0ticament\u2026 Nombroses iniciatives en diverses parts del m\u00f3n continuen condemnant l&#8217;exist\u00e8ncia de Guant\u00e1namo. Fa unes setmanes, la premsa va anunciar que \u2018el Tribunal Suprem dels Estats Units dona el cop de gr\u00e0cia als llimbs de Guant\u00e1namo\u2019, citant la decisi\u00f3 dels jutges que els detinguts tenen el dret constitucional de defensar-se en els tribunals civils. Aquest podria ser el final definitiu de Guant\u00e1namo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4Yn382jYR_E\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>El projecte d&#8217;Alicia Framis part de la constataci\u00f3 que \u00e9s molt probable que la pres\u00f3 de Guant\u00e1namo es tanqui aviat i que, inevitablement, es converteixi en museu, perqu\u00e8 vivim en una societat que t\u00e9 una necessitat insaciable de museizarlo tot. Auschwitz i Alcatraz s\u00f3n bons exemples de com a partir de la mem\u00f2ria de l&#8217;horror es poden crear souvenirs per al turisme. Framis no pret\u00e9n ser categ\u00f2rica ni aportar solucions, sin\u00f3 que pret\u00e9n aprofundir en la q\u00fcesti\u00f3 de si \u00e9s leg\u00edtim convertir l&#8217;horror en un producte de consum. Al cap i a la fi, potser els museus d&#8217;aquest tipus s\u00f3n un mal menor, una manera de garantir que unes certes atrocitats no caiguin en l&#8217;oblit?<\/p>\n<p>El Museu de Guant\u00e1namo d&#8217;Alicia Framis posa en relleu aquesta paradoxa amb la seva proposta d&#8217;un possible museu per a Guant\u00e1namo, un museu que l&#8217;artista sens dubte definir\u00e0 m\u00e9s en el transcurs de successives presentacions del seu projecte. En aquesta exposici\u00f3 en el CASM, l&#8217;artista se centra en el factor hum\u00e0 essencial recordant a totes les persones que han estat o continuen estant engabiades en els camps de concentraci\u00f3 de Guant\u00e1namo. Guant\u00e1namo Museum: The List \u00e9s un memorial en el qual 274 cascos de moto tallats per la serra evoquen la vulnerabilitat dels presos i l&#8217;ab\u00fas de la seva integritat, mentre la veu del m\u00fasic Blixa Bargeld llegeix una llista, elaborada per l&#8217;escriptor Enrique Vila-Matas, amb tots els noms dels presoners, que ens recorda la seva pres\u00e8ncia i, al mateix temps, la seva abs\u00e8ncia.<\/p>\n<p>En paral\u00b7lel, Guantanamo Museum: Sketches \u00e9s una reinterpretaci\u00f3 de diferents espais dels camps de presoners, mostrant com podrien convertir-se en el museu proposat, el lema del qual \u00e9s \u201cCoses per a oblidar\u201d. Per a definir els objectes que s&#8217;exposaran en el museu, l&#8217;artista ha treballat amb diversos col\u00b7laboradors, entre ells arquitectes, dissenyadors i estudiants de disseny, i ha impartit una s\u00e8rie de tallers a l&#8217;Escola de Moda Felicitat Duce (Barcelona), el IED Institut Europeu de Disseny (Madrid i Barcelona) i Ca Xalant (Matar\u00f3).
