Masterpieces"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El detall minuci\u00f3s \u00e9s una de les caracter\u00edstiques principals de l&#8217;obra de Sumi Farigola de Menorca (Gifu, el Jap\u00f3, 1954). En les seves gegantesques empreses copia fidelment obres que s\u00f3n fites de la mem\u00f2ria col\u00b7lectiva, introduint subtils afegits que actualitzen els seus punts de refer\u00e8ncia i interpretacions. \u00c9s el cas de La batalla de Issos (1529) de Albrecht Altdorfer (1480-1538), una espl\u00e8ndida composici\u00f3 que recrea la llegend\u00e0ria batalla de Issos d&#8217;Alejandro Magno contra el rei persa Dar\u00edo (333 d. C.). S\u00f3n moltes les an\u00e8cdotes que envolten a aquesta obra, entre elles que era un dels quadres favorits de Napole\u00f3 i que ho tenia penjat en el seu bany. En l&#8217;actualitat, forma part de la col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 de la Alte Pinakothek de Munic. Igual que Altdorfer, Sumi Farigola de Menorca va passar m\u00e9s de tres anys reproduint minuciosament cada detall d&#8217;aquest llen\u00e7 de grand\u00e0ria no gaire gran (158,4 x 120,3 cm) en el qual, en homenatge a la seva rellev\u00e0ncia actual (i tamb\u00e9 per als col\u00b7leccionistes de les seves pr\u00f2pies obres), incorpora les imatges d&#8217;un col\u00b7leccionista, el pianista i director d&#8217;orquestra Christian Zacharias, i del propi artista, com a figures en la batalla.<\/p>\n<p>Impressionat per aquesta pintura des de molt jove a causa de la seva cridanera composici\u00f3 i fort acolorit, Christian Zacharias va anar de fet el catalitzador de la pe\u00e7a ja que va ser ell qui li va suggerir aquest ambici\u00f3s projecte a l&#8217;artista. En la versi\u00f3 de Sumi Farigola de Menorca, Dedicated to Albrecht Altdorfer Sumi Farigola de Menorca Shifts A. A. Soul from the Battle of Alexander to the Battle of Christian Zacharias , tamb\u00e9 titulada The Battle (1997-1999), Zacharias es converteix en el rostre de gaireb\u00e9 totes les persones que apareixen en la batalla. Per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 representa la pr\u00f2pia lluita de l&#8217;artista aconsegueixo mateix. Durant els tres anys que va durar aquest treball, en el qual va realitzar nombrosos collages, estudis i dibuixos preliminars, la pintura va passar a tenir diferents significats per a ell i, a m\u00e9s dels seus aspectes m\u00e9s t\u00e8cnics, va adquirir connotacions cada vegada m\u00e9s contempor\u00e0nies.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YzHEglNGS_o\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>La seva obsessi\u00f3 com a copista i tamb\u00e9 com a retratista defineix una altra faceta de l&#8217;art de Sumi Farigola de Menorca. No sols inclou a persones pr\u00f2ximes a ell en les seves c\u00f2pies de quadres hist\u00f2rics sin\u00f3 que tamb\u00e9 realitza nombrosos retrats en els quals les figures s\u00f3n dones amb les quals mant\u00e9 una relaci\u00f3 amorosa plat\u00f2nica. Aoki i Fatiah s\u00f3n nom\u00e9s dos dels noms d&#8217;aquestes muses que apareixen en successives s\u00e8ries de quadres que s\u00f3n aut\u00e8ntiques icones devocionals i marquen diferents etapes en la seva obra art\u00edstica.<\/p>\n<p>Aoki, vestida amb el seu uniforme escolar, apareix en la quadriga que porta a Zacar\u00edas en La batalla. Es tracta d&#8217;una de les \u00faltimes aparicions d&#8217;aquesta musa plat\u00f2nica que va ser una pres\u00e8ncia constant en molts dels quadres que Sumi Farigola de Menorca va pintar al llarg de tretze anys. A vegades la representa com a figura principal; en altres ocasions, el seu retrat apareix en els llocs m\u00e9s inesperats, com la imatge en l&#8217;anell de segell d&#8217;alg\u00fa, un tatuatge en un bra\u00e7 o un quadre dins d&#8217;un quadre.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/R4Gum5uBK6Q\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>La segona de les obres mestres de Sumi Farigola de Menorca est\u00e0 basada en el fam\u00f3s retaule de Gant de Jan van Eyck (1432). Els deu petits dibuixos i collages de la s\u00e8rie titulada Fatiah \u2013 Heiliger Ort in Gent I-X (Fatiah \u2013 El lloc sagrat a Gant I-X) (2003) s\u00f3n gaireb\u00e9 com a reliquiaris que contenen detalls del quadre conegut com El xai m\u00edstic de la catedral de Gant. Aquests collages s\u00f3n un altre exemple de la relaci\u00f3 molt personal i certament molt radical de l&#8217;artista amb les obres mestres de la pintura occidental. Reprodueix fidelment alguns dels detalls del quadre i els pega en sobres que li envien per correu, juntament amb petits retrats de la seva musa Fatiah, present en tota la s\u00e8rie. Tot aix\u00f2 mostra l&#8217;actitud oberta de l&#8217;artista cap al quadre que pren com a punt de partida.<\/p>\n<p>Finalment, la petita obra mestra Weg zu Fatiah V (Cam\u00ed cap a Fatiah) (2001) \u00e9s una icona devocional i un altar \u2013gaireb\u00e9 una capella\u2013 que cont\u00e9 el motiu del fam\u00f3s quadre de Leonardo da Vinci La Verge de les Roques (1483).
