Two Films"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>L&#8217;obra de Joost Conijn (Amsterdam, 1971) part de la fascinaci\u00f3 per les formes de vida alternatives i per les diferents cultures del m\u00f3n occidental. Els seus viatges, sovint vinculats a la voluntat de dur a terme projectes que semblen del tot impossibles, desencadenen situacions inesperades, solucions plenes d&#8217;enginy i enriquidors intercanvis. Tal com explica el propi artista, \u201cun element essencial \u00e9s la interacci\u00f3 cara a cara amb la gent a la qual vaig coneixent pel cam\u00ed\u201d. La realitzaci\u00f3 de pel\u00b7l\u00edcules que recullen tots aquests processos \u00e9s el suport en el qual l&#8217;artista presenta els seus projectes en l&#8217;espai expositor. Aix\u00ed com en els seus primers treballs el punt d&#8217;atenci\u00f3 se centrava en la construcci\u00f3 de vehicles o elements diversos \u2013un avi\u00f3 en Airplane (2000), o una tanca en C\u2019est une Hek (1997)\u2013, en les seves seg\u00fcents pel\u00b7l\u00edcules el punt d&#8217;inter\u00e8s s&#8217;ha anat centrant progressivament en la gent i en les cultures que es troben m\u00e9s pr\u00f2ximes als principis b\u00e0sics de l&#8217;exist\u00e8ncia.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;exposici\u00f3 TWO FILMS presenta dos de les seves pel\u00b7l\u00edcules m\u00e9s recents, Wood Car i Siddieqa, Firdaus, Abdallah, Soelayman, Moestafa, Hawwa and Dzoel-kifl . Wood Car (2002, v\u00eddeo, 32 minuts) mostra un viatge realitzat en un cotxe de fusta constru\u00eft pel propi artista. El cotxe funciona per combusti\u00f3 de fusta, un m\u00e8tode que ja havia estat utilitzat durant la Segona Guerra Mundial. La necessitat de proveir-se constantment de fusta determina la ruta que cal seguir, sempre pr\u00f2xima a boscos. El viatge s&#8217;inicia a Holanda i segueix per B\u00e8lgica, Alemanya, Rep\u00fablica Txeca, Romania, Ucra\u00efna, Hongria, Alb\u00e0nia&#8230; passant per llocs inh\u00f2spits i trobant formes de vida arcaiques. Tal com afirma el propi artista: \u201cEl cotxe fa amics all\u00e0 on va. Resulta que la gent d&#8217;aqu\u00ed recull fusta per a passar tot l&#8217;hivern. I quan es detenen per a descansar una estona i menjar alguna cosa sobre l&#8217;herba, entre els arbres fruiters en flor, traspassen la barrera del llenguatge deixant-me compartir amb ells el seu pa i el seu formatge fet a casa.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5OWHbv1UxWo\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Siddieqa, Firdaus, Abdallah, Soelayman, Moestafa, Hawwa and Dzoel-kifl (2003, v\u00eddeo, 42 minuts) \u00e9s el t\u00edtol de la segona pel\u00b7l\u00edcula, i tamb\u00e9 el nom dels set fills d&#8217;una fam\u00edlia holandesa que viu d&#8217;acord amb els preceptes dictats per l&#8217;islam, i per tant d&#8217;una forma que res t\u00e9 a veure amb les convencions occidentals. La fam\u00edlia viu en una caravana, en una zona de \u201cokupes\u201d, en els molls de la ciutat. De nou l&#8217;artista ens l&#8217;explica: \u201cEl terreny est\u00e0 delimitat per una tanca. Fora de la tanca \u00e9s \u2018territori estranger\u2019: una zona poc rendible que no pertany a cap part. Es tracta d&#8217;un lloc en el qual els n\u00f2mades i els rodamons viuen en petites barraques i caravanes. Aquesta gent no sols est\u00e0 exclosa de la societat, sin\u00f3 que ni tan sols \u00e9s tolerada pels \u2018okupes\u2019. La fam\u00edlia isl\u00e0mica viu a l&#8217;altre costat de la tanca amb els seus set fills; el petit t\u00e9 tres anys i el major catorze. Viuen i juguen en l&#8217;agresta terra de ning\u00fa que est\u00e0 a punt de ser convertida en futurs locals comercials, a menys de cinc quil\u00f2metres d&#8217;Amsterdam, molt lluny de les convencions de la plataforma social.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3OTa-MwMsVE\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>La intenci\u00f3 de la pel\u00b7l\u00edcula no \u00e9s mostrar la il\u00b7legalitat o la marginaci\u00f3, ni els problemes que aquestes impliquen. La pel\u00b7l\u00edcula tracta de conceptes universals com la llibertat i l&#8217;autenticitat. Aquests nens omplen els seus dies amb espontane\u00eftat i inventiva, malgrat l&#8217;a\u00efllament i la mis\u00e8ria en la qual creixen. Qu\u00e8 els ofereix la vida a aquests nens salvatges? Els portar\u00e0 la seva autonomia a ser exclosos de la societat, o es desenvoluparan d&#8217;una forma completament original, desinhibida per les convencions? Podran en \u00faltima inst\u00e0ncia triar entre una vida en llibertat o una exist\u00e8ncia condicionada?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Les pel\u00b7l\u00edcules de Joost Conijn plasmen a la perfecci\u00f3 l&#8217;espontane\u00eftat i l&#8217;autenticitat dels esdeveniments. Sovint no tenen una estructura cronol\u00f2gica, sin\u00f3 que ens condueixen suaument per les diferents accions i trobades. En C\u2019est une Hek , Conijn va recollint diversos elements, alguns procedents de cotxes, i fa una prospecci\u00f3 del lloc ideal en el desert, sense que nosaltres com a espectadors sapiguem, fins que la pel\u00b7l\u00edcula est\u00e0 ja molt avan\u00e7ada, que l&#8217;objectiu de la seva activitat \u00e9s la construcci\u00f3 d&#8217;una tanca a la meitat del desert. Airplane acompanya a l&#8217;espectador a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;un proc\u00e9s no cronol\u00f2gic que acaba en el moment \u00e0lgid, \u00e9s a dir, amb el vol de l&#8217;avi\u00f3 constru\u00eft per l&#8217;artista. Wood Car , en canvi, no presenta una estructura lineal, sin\u00f3 que ens acosta a diverses escenes de les seves nombroses trobades i intercanvis. Siddieqa, Firdaus, Abdallah, Soelayman, Moestafa, Hawwa and Dzoel-kifl est\u00e0, segons Conijn, \u201cfeta com una pel\u00b7l\u00edcula naturalista: esperar amb atenci\u00f3 i paci\u00e8ncia al fet que succeeixi alguna cosa.
