Fe i Entusiasme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El treball d&#8217;Antonio Ortega (Sant Celoni, 1968) examina els comportaments i les din\u00e0miques socials. Sovint elabora &#8220;registres&#8221;, fent \u00fas d&#8217;una estrat\u00e8gia similar a la de les rondalles, per a aix\u00f2 se serveix de referents f\u00e0cilment recognoscibles amb els quals retratar o exemplificar situacions. Aix\u00ed, en Registre de Ahilamiento (1996), for\u00e7ava el creixement d&#8217;una planta per l&#8217;interior d&#8217;un llarg tub de cart\u00f3, de tal mode que, en eliminar aquest conducte, la planta no va sobreviure; en Registre d&#8217;Esponsoritzaci\u00f3 (1999-2000), va emprar el pressupost de producci\u00f3 de la seva exposici\u00f3 a Barcelona, per a apadrinar una cerdita anglesa, anomenada Lucy, a la qual es van proporcionar atencions, aliment i assist\u00e8ncia veterin\u00e0ria durant un any; en Registre de Bondat (1999), l&#8217;artista es provocava v\u00f2mits, que guardava en un recipient al jard\u00ed de la seva casa a Londres i que van servir de manteniment als ocells que all\u00ed acudien. Com encertadament ha escrit David G. Torres, &#8220;s\u00f3n registres en els quals l&#8217;excepcionalitat es troba a un mil\u00b7l\u00edmetre de dist\u00e0ncia de la futilitat. En aquest mil\u00b7l\u00edmetre se situen els seus treballs [&#8230;] El document, en aparen\u00e7a anod\u00ed i simple retrat d&#8217;una experi\u00e8ncia duta a terme per Antonio Ortega, t\u00e9 la capacitat de desplegar-se intensament en l&#8217;\u00e0mbit del sentit&#8221;. En els tres casos, el comportament, la reacci\u00f3 i el paper de plantes i animals esdevenen retrats o projeccions dels nostres propis comportaments d&#8217;adaptaci\u00f3, submissi\u00f3 o assumpci\u00f3 dels prejudicis impl\u00edcits en els actes de generositat.<\/p>\n<p>Des d&#8217;una actitud na\u00eff, que li aparta de tot cinisme, Antonio Ortega observa, des de la perplexitat i el dubte permanents, els mecanismes que defineixen les din\u00e0miques de la producci\u00f3 art\u00edstica i el seu paper en la societat. En Antonio Ortega and the Contestants (2002), per exemple, transformava el que havia de ser una exposici\u00f3 individual en The Showroom, a Londres, en una mostra col\u00b7lectiva per a la qual va convidar a participar a cinc artistes acabats de llicenciar per la Facultat de Belles Arts de Barcelona. Amb aquesta proposta, pretenia evidenciar les din\u00e0miques de producci\u00f3 en art, en mimetitzar les estrat\u00e8gies promocionals d&#8217;altres \u00e0mbits de la cultura pop, alhora que explorava les nocions d&#8217;autoria i la naturalesa jer\u00e0rquica i competitiva del m\u00f3n de l&#8217;art.<\/p>\n<p>Fe i entusiasmo part d&#8217;una reflexi\u00f3 que li ocupa des de fa algun temps: la confirmaci\u00f3 que nom\u00e9s l&#8217;\u00e8xit eximeix a l&#8217;artista de l&#8217;aparen\u00e7a d&#8217;ingenu\u00eftat. Antonio Ortega ho explicava en una confer\u00e8ncia al mar\u00e7 de 2002 en Caixaforum: &#8220;[&#8230;] Crec que no hi ha res m\u00e9s pat\u00e8tic que un artista visual, o un cantant o un actor, que no hagi aconseguit l&#8217;\u00e8xit, perqu\u00e8 nom\u00e9s una dosi d&#8217;\u00e8xit pot neutralitzar la sensaci\u00f3 d&#8217;ingenu\u00eftat d&#8217;un artista consagrat a la seva carrera. Si encara els queda algun dubte, poden acompanyar-me en el seg\u00fcent exercici: posin muti a l&#8217;\u00e8xit de qualsevol artista de fama planet\u00e0ria. Pensin en un artista de prestigi i imaginin que no mostra el seu treball m\u00e9s que als seus pares, ja majors. Els diumenges menjar\u00e0 a casa dels seus pares, amb la seva fam\u00edlia i, despr\u00e9s del caf\u00e8, els ensenya els seus \u00faltims projectes art\u00edstics [&#8230;] No s\u00e9 vost\u00e8s, per\u00f2 quan escrivia aix\u00f2, jo m&#8217;imaginava a Joseph Beuys, molt digne i pausat, recollint en una safata els co\u00e0guls de greix pegats a les parets del menjador de pap\u00e0 i mam\u00e0 Beuys. Per aix\u00f2 accepto la meva condici\u00f3 de na\u00eff.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fe i entusiasme observa el panorama medi\u00e0tic actual, que genera personatges que es tornen arquet\u00edpics en la seva representaci\u00f3 de valors i car\u00e0cters estereotipats. Al nostre pa\u00eds, les televisions han creat un nou g\u00e8nere, h\u00edbrid entre el programa de telerealitat i la telenovel\u00b7la, en qu\u00e8 les vides i les perip\u00e8cies d&#8217;aquests personatges poden ser seguides, comentades i avaluades \u00e8ticament, perqu\u00e8 situen autom\u00e0ticament a l&#8217;audi\u00e8ncia en una posici\u00f3 de superioritat. Els qui poblen l&#8217;univers medi\u00e0tic actual no s\u00f3n ja personatges p\u00fablics (famosos) per la seva activitat professional, sin\u00f3 persones que han fet de les vicissituds de la seva vida privada una professi\u00f3. Aconseguir la fama a qualsevol preu i mantenir-la \u00e9s una de les seves principals consignes. Fe i entusiasme es fixa en una d&#8217;aquestes artistes, Yola Berrocal, paradigma de la construcci\u00f3 d&#8217;un personatge i definida per Antonio Ortega, com la &#8220;veritable musa de l&#8217;entusiasme&#8221; conven\u00e7uda del seu talent art\u00edstic. Amb Berrocal, Antonio Ortega comparteix una fe (en el seu treball i les seves possibilitats d&#8217;\u00e8xit) que li allunya de tot cinisme.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/whBJCRfCjYw\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>En Fe i entusiasme, Antonio Ortega planteja una mirada entomol\u00f2gica a aquest univers medi\u00e0tic. El seu projecte consisteix en la creaci\u00f3 d&#8217;una Oficina de Captaci\u00f3 de Fons per a la realitzaci\u00f3 d&#8217;un figura de cera de Yola Berrocal. En el nostre present medi\u00e0tic, tenir una figura de cera \u00e9s un indicador simb\u00f2lic del m\u00e0xim estatus de la fama. Fins fa molt poc, per exemple, Madonna no ha obtingut aquest reconeixement. L&#8217;oficina que proposa Antonio Ortega est\u00e0 dirigida per un educador art\u00edstic i comissari independent, David Armengol, i per dos estudiants de l&#8217;\u00faltim curs de Belles Arts, Luc\u00eda Moreno i Eva Noguera. La labor d&#8217;aquest equip consisteix a establir contactes, fer propostes i tractar d&#8217;aconseguir finan\u00e7ament en forma de patrocini, amb la finalitat que aquest objectiu, la realitzaci\u00f3 d&#8217;una figura de cera de Yola Berrocal, pugui materialitzar-se.<\/p>\n<p>Amb un lleuger despla\u00e7ament pel que fa a l&#8217;objectiu i al context, l&#8217;oficina reprodueix exactament les estructures de producci\u00f3 i comunicaci\u00f3 de l&#8217;art contemporani. Antonio Ortega utilitza referents f\u00e0cilment identificables, que ens proporcionen la dist\u00e0ncia necess\u00e0ria (una planta, la cerdita Lucy, els ocells del seu jard\u00ed a Londres, els gags de Faemino i Cansat, Yola Berrocal&#8230;) per a plantejar situacions que parlen directament de nosaltres i de les nostres experi\u00e8ncies. L&#8217;humor amb el qual abordem hist\u00f2ries, que en aparen\u00e7a no tenen a veure amb nosaltres, es transforma en una terrible incomoditat quan reparem en qu\u00e8 les rondalles que compta Antonio Ortega parlen de nosaltres mateixos.
