U"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>En els seus treballs, Claude Closky (Par\u00eds, 1963) sol q\u00fcestionar la funci\u00f3 dels signes, a m\u00e9s de jugar amb les aparences. El tema de la identitat i les convencions de la representaci\u00f3 articulen l&#8217;eix central de la seva recerca art\u00edstica. Amb una voluntat tan juganera com obsessiva, demostra que la combinaci\u00f3 potencial de mitjans i les possibles variacions dels sistemes de classificaci\u00f3 poden ser infinits. L&#8217;artista construeix taxonomies i identifica un ordre en sistemes amorfs o, per contra, destrueix sistemes en concloure que la seva l\u00f2gica \u00e9s absurda. Crea directoris, llistats de tipologies abstractes, q\u00fcestiona estructures aparentment objectives i universals (com a lletres, calendaris i codis) en tractar-les de mode banal. Fa, per exemple, inventaris: els primers mil n\u00fameros classificats alfab\u00e8ticament (Els 1000 premiers nomenis class\u00e9s parell ordre alphab\u00e9tique, 1989). Elabora una llista dels dies per ordre de magnitud (1994), col\u00b7lecciona frases fetes, que ordena segons la seva longitud, o ens convida a un entretingut recorregut en el transcurs del qual hem de triar cont\u00ednuament entre dues opcions, amb el prop\u00f2sit de reflectir la impossibilitat de sistematitzar les respostes en interpretacions fixes o concloents (Do you want Love or Lust, 1997). Altres treballs seus posen en dubte l&#8217;economia del temps (numera els cuadritos d&#8217;un bloc quadriculat o enuncia els noms que figuren en una guia telef\u00f2nica -en 8633 personnes que je ne connais pas \u00e0 D\u00f4le, 1993-). Es recrea en esfor\u00e7os improductius, en coneixements f\u00fatils. En una altra s\u00e8rie, evid\u00e8ncia l&#8217;arbitrarietat de les lleis de mercat i dels preus (Sans titre \u2013 15, 20, 25, 30 francs, 2000, mostra quatre encenedors id\u00e8ntics, els preus dels quals s&#8217;encareixen progressivament), o el fetitxisme de les marques, o l&#8217;oferta sense l\u00edmit al fet que ens sotmet la societat de consum (Cliquez ici, 2001).<\/p>\n<p>El dibuix, el llibre, el v\u00eddeo, la fotografia, l&#8217;objecte, el so o l&#8217;ordinador s\u00f3n, per a ell, mitjans distints, o millor dit, diferents mitjans d&#8217;expressi\u00f3 que utilitza d&#8217;acord amb les seves necessitats expressives. Per a Closky, el dibuix \u00e9s sin\u00f2nim de rapidesa i espontane\u00eftat; el llibre \u00e9s un producte del pensament, en tant que requereix una planificaci\u00f3, una dedicaci\u00f3 i un seguiment molt m\u00e9s estricte; la fotografia permet un resultat serial (com en La Baula, 1995) o pot ser un mitj\u00e0 de negaci\u00f3 (com en 47 francs que je n\u2019ai pas depens\u00e9s o en Un pistolet avec lequel je n\u2019ai tu\u00e9 personne); amb el v\u00eddeo pot explorar (editar i desconstruir) material cinematogr\u00e0fic preexistent i l&#8217;ordinador constitueix una eina \u00fatil en la combinaci\u00f3 gaireb\u00e9 infinita de frases i pensaments.<\/p>\n<p>Com encertadament apunta Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Paul en el seu llibre sobre aquest artista, publicat per \u00c9ditions Hazan en 1999: \u201cel seu treball es basa en un m\u00f3n totalment determinat per un \u00fas codificat del llenguatge i per l&#8217;expansi\u00f3 encoberta del comer\u00e7 i la publicitat. En el nostre m\u00f3n, signe i producte assumeixen el mateix estatus de b\u00e9ns de consum. Closky accepta el rol de consumidor. La realitat -que ens presenta al mateix temps que se&#8217;ns imposa- \u00e9s tot el que aquests productes en exposici\u00f3 s\u00f3n. No \u00e9s casual que les seves fotografies, llibres i collages estiguin plens de productes que apareixen hiperrepresentados en els anuncis de les revistes: cosm\u00e8tics, perfums, rellotges, joies i objectes de luxe en general. B\u00e9 al contrari, la major part de nosaltres identifica el consum, una sort d&#8217;euf\u00f2ria col\u00b7lectiva, amb l&#8217;emancipaci\u00f3 personal i una pseudocreaci\u00f3\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gfCOZOsgQGQ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>U, el projecte que ara mostra en el Espai 13, \u00e9s una videoinstal\u00b7laci\u00f3 composta per dues projeccions que conflueixen en una cantonada. La projecci\u00f3, en bucle, consisteix en una successi\u00f3 r\u00edtmica de frases d&#8217;estil publicitari que apel\u00b7len directament a l&#8217;espectador, missatges del tipus: U know-how, U save 50%, U have new dreams, U have an eye 4 beauty, U enter the gateway 2 unlimited opportunities&#8230; Si b\u00e9 aquests s\u00f3n banals, el context publicitari els atribueix una aur\u00e8ola de sofisticaci\u00f3. \u201cEls noms de les marques formen part del nostre vocabulari quotidi\u00e0\u201d, afirma Closky, \u201cBenetton o Lanc\u00f4me tenen el poder d&#8217;anunciar-se a tot el m\u00f3n, any rere any i en qualsevol mitj\u00e0\u201c. De fet, la publicitat ja no ven marques, sin\u00f3 models d&#8217;identificaci\u00f3 i estils de vida. Closky se serveix del depurad\u00edsimo llenguatge escrit dels SMS, una forma de comunicaci\u00f3 espont\u00e0nia, efectiva, r\u00e0pida i barata, creada pels usuaris de tel\u00e8fon m\u00f2bil i adoptada ara en nombroses estrat\u00e8gies publicit\u00e0ries per a arribar a aquests mateixos usuaris amb el seu propi llenguatge.<\/p>\n<p>En situar-nos enfront d&#8217;aquesta forma espec\u00edfica de comunicaci\u00f3 amb la qual convivim -encara que tal vegada no ens prenem molt de deb\u00f2 i segurament no reparem fins a quin punt determina el nostre comportament social (convertint-nos en consumidors abans que en ciutadans)-, Claude Closky ens confronta a l&#8217;autoretrat de la societat a la qual pertanyem. Per\u00f2 la intenci\u00f3 de Closky no \u00e9s did\u00e0ctica ni panfletaria (ell mateix no pot negar la fascinaci\u00f3 per les estrat\u00e8gies publicit\u00e0ries). L&#8217;artista s&#8217;acontenta amb contribuir a subratllar subtilment els mecanismes conductistes, les t\u00e8cniques de seducci\u00f3 i suggesti\u00f3, les petites anomalies o din\u00e0miques dirigistes que determinen di\u00e0riament les nostres eleccions: el perfum que triem, la roba que ens posem, el cotxe que condu\u00efm, la m\u00fasica que escoltem, la pel\u00b7l\u00edcula que veiem, el partit al qual votem i, fins i tot, l&#8217;ONG a la qual secundem.
